University of Washington
The University of Washington (UW), is a public university founded in 1861 located in Seattle, Washington. In the northwest part of the United States it is the largest and one of the oldest universities on the Western coastline of the USA. Of its three campuses, the largest campus with 643 acres is in Seattle's University District with two other campuses in Tacoma and Bothell.
There are over 150 academic programs offered on a semester basis through the Colleges of Architecture and Urban Planning; Arts and Sciences; Engineering, Forest Resources; and the Schools of Business Administration, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health and Community Medicine, and Social Work.
The University of Washington has roughly 39,600 students, including 27,275 undergraduates .
